Jeanette Schwamberger is State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Finance. She previously served as Head of the Chancellor’s office at the Federal Chancellery (2021-2025), Head of the directorate for planning and strategy and the Minister’s office at the Federal Ministry of Finance (2020-2021), Head of the Minister’s office at the Federal Ministry of Finance (2019-2020) and Head of the press division at the Federal Ministry of Finance (2018-2019).
Earlier, she was also private secretary to former Chancellor Helmut Schmidt, as well as spokesperson and speechwriter at the Federal Ministry of Finance. Ms Schwamberger studied economics at the Freie Universität Berlin.
